epic 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 11-9 match against Western Kentucky's Brody Freeman...
defeated Lipscomb's Colby Shaw 7-5, 7-6 (10-7)... a March 8 defeat of No. 42
South Alabama's sparked a three match win streak... teamed with all-OVC performer
Jasmin Ademovic to form a strong No. 2 doubles pair... duo defeated No. 71
Georgia State's Thomas Cook and Sofiane Chevallier 8-7 (7-5)... won five of nine
matches against OVC foes, including first four (Murray State, SIU Edwardsville,
Eastern Illinois, Tennessee State).
2011 Singles: Became
a solid contributor at No. 6 singles during sophomore campaign... finished with a
12-11 overall mark, while going 5-2 in OVC play... at No. 6 singles, went 8-5...
also had wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles... closed season with a four-match win streak, including six wins in
his final 10 matches... was up-and-down during spring season... won two matches in
tiebreaker and one three-set match... forced a tiebreaker and won against
Lipscomb's Daniel Lee... won another tiebreaker against South Alabama's Jairo Seur...
won season's only three-set match against BYU Hawaii's Taylor De Hoyas after
dropping the first set... had a strong finish, winning three-straight OVC
matches, all in straight sets... was one of two Govs (Sean Bailey) to go unbeaten
in OVC tournament singles play. Doubles:
Talented doubles player went 20-7 overall, including a 12-6 mark
2010 Singles: Was solid No. 6 for Govs, providing
much-needed depth in 2010… went 7-9 overall, including a 4-5 mark at No. 6…
earned his spot with a strong 2009 Fall tournament season… won a pair of
consolation matches at the UTC Baras Collegiate Fall Classic… won a three-set
match against Chattanooga’s William Disterdick… lost three-straight OVC
matches, but rebounded to end season… won three of last four matches… stretch
started with a straight-set win against Murray State’s Jose Berardo… also won
OVC tournament match against Morehead State’s Nathan Martin… Doubles: Played
alongside senior Leonardo Locatelli at No. 3 doubles… posted an 8-10 overall
mark, including a 6-7 record during the Spring season… went 3-4 in OVC play…
lost three straight OVC matches… countered with a key three-match win streak,
starting with an 8-6 win against Morehead State… also had wins against
Tennessee State and Murray State... struggled at season’s end, losing three
straight, including two OVC tourney matches.
High School: Played at Science Hill High School , alongside fellow Govs player Drew Kerr, where he led the Hilltoppers to three consecutive AAA state championships… as a junior, played doubles with Kerr, winning the AAA doubles state championship in a tiebreaker… made it to the quarterfinals in the Tennessee State Junior Open… ranked No. 12 by Tennis Recruiting Network in Tennessee.
