Biography
2007 Singles: Finished 7-15 at No. 1 singles after playing much of the season at No. 2 and No. 3... posted a 2-7 OVC record with wins against UT Martin and Tennessee State... Doubles: Played No. 1 doubles with Leonardo Locatelli and Nick Gallauer... finished with a 7-15 overall record, including a 5-4 OVC record.
2006 Singles: DeBrito played at No.2 and No. 3 singles... went 5-3 at No. 3... one of two Govs to post a winning conference record... finished the season with a .500 mark, 13-13 overall and 10-10 in dual matches... won three of his last four matches. Doubles: Played with Patrick Puertolas and went 4-4 in OVC play, with a 9-7 overall mark at No. 2 doubles... won three of their last four doubles matches, including OVC wins against Tennessee State and Murray State.
Previously: DeBrito transfered from Middle Tennessee after redshirting his freshman year... the Brazilian is billed as baseliner with deep power and has been working to become familiar with playing inside and getting off the clay courts... DeBrito was ranked as high as seventh in juniors while in Brazil and boasts extensive international experience.
Personal: The son of Nereu and Elisabeth DeBrito... majoring in Business... Lists his father as the person he most admires.
