2007 Singles: Finished 5-19 overall with a 1-8 OVC record... moved up to No. 2 singles, where he won only four matches... his lone conference win came at Tennessee State in straight sets. Doubles: Finished 9-14 overall with a 3-6 league mark... played much of the season at No. 2 doubles but played the season’s final five matches at No. 3 doubles... won five of his last eight doubles matches, including wins at Morehead State, Tennessee State and Murray State.

2006 Singles: Puertolas was the only Govs player to post an overall winning record at 13-11, 12-9 in dual matches and 5-4 in OVC play... went 11-6 at No. 4 singles and won 7 of his last 10 matches. Doubles: Played with Lucas DeBrito and went 4-4 in OVC play, with a 9-7 overall mark at No. 2 doubles... won three of their last four doubles matches, including OVC wins against Tennessee State and Murray State.

2005 Highlights: Posted the Governors best winning percentage at .523 (11-10), including a 7-3 mark at No. 6... the newcomer won six of his last eight including a three-set comeback in the O’Reilly/OVC tournament against Murray State’s Hunter Gerlach... played No. 3 doubles with then-senior Cody Wall posting a  4-6 mark including a 3-6 conference record.

Personal: The son of Manuel Puertolas and Teresa Aso... majoring in Business...Worked with a free-tennis workshop for underpriviledged children during the summer.
