College: Again expected to play vital role in Govs passing game, serving as starting receiver opposite Devin Stark...versatile performer who even played quarterback in spring to aid short-handed situation...in 2010 finished third on team in receiving, catching 18 passes for 223 yards ...averaged 12.4 yards per catch... caught 60 percent of passes targeted at him... converted a team-high five catches on third downs...in return to hometown Murfreesboro, caught four passes for 62 yards...also had four receptions at Eastern Illinois...in fact, 14 of 18 catches came on road...longest reception was 28 yarder against Southeast Missouri... former quarterback turned wide-out, Thomas owns high football IQ, but continued to adjust to new role in 2009... made 13 catches for 180 yards as sophomore... made four catches for 42 yards in the season-finale at UT Martin including a six-yard TD catch... season-long 35-yard catch was one two passes caught at Youngstown State... caught two passes both against Eastern Illinois and at Tennessee Tech... had at least two catches in five games...continues to adjust to new role...had two catches for 38 yards and a TD in the Red-White Spring Game...in his first full season at wide receiver, finished with 16 catches for 112 yards and one TD...owned at least two catches in five games...tallied three catches at Georgia Southern for 34 yards, including a season-long 18-yard reception...only TD catch came on a seven-yard catch against Tennessee Martin... made a pair of catches at both Jacksonville State and Eastern Illinois...received medical redshirt in 2007...sat out first APSU season recovering from shoulder and knee surgeries...High School: 2006 Finalist 5A Mr. football...2006 Finalist for Nick Coutras Award...All-State, All-Midstate and all-region...Daily News Journal Offensive Player of the year...Region 4-5A MVP...rushed for 1638 yards (state record for quarterback) and 15 TDs as senior...passed for 406 yards...Personal: Health and human performance major...two-time member of Athletics Director's Honor Roll...son of Dave and Tamela Thomas...born March 7, 1989...age 22.
