Biography

2015-16: Talented sibling of departed Governor Kymmalett Ross shone of her own merit as a sophomore… earned a season-best tie for fifth in the triple jump (11.41m) and a personal-best 1.61m and runner-up mark in the high jump at the ETSU Invitational… switching to outdoor season, was runner-up in the high jump at the Missouri State Invitational (1.61m)… earned a personal-best in the high jump (1.66m) and triple jump (11.74m) at the OVC Outdoor Championships, finishing ninth in each event.

2014-15: Younger sibling of Kymmalett Ross gained some recognition of her own in her first APSU season… started her season strong with top-five finishes in the high jump at the Music City Invite (fourth, personal-best 1.61m) and the Middle Tennessee Christmas Invitational (fourth, 1.53m) on indoor season’s opening weekend… season-best 11.59m triple jump earned her seventh at the ETSU Invitational… also earned a fourth-place, 1.53m mark at the Ohio State Tune-Up… in outdoor action, proved a solid complementary player in the triple jump, finishing in the top-10 in each of five attempts… opened the season with a fourth-place, 11.62m mark… earned her personal-best 11.88m leap at the APSU Invitational, finishing fifth.

Prior to Austin Peay: Competed in hurdles and jumps for David Robinson at nearby Northwest High School, earning All-State, All-District, All-Area and district champion honors during a distinguished prep career… an all-conference honoree each of her four seasons… natural athlete also took home All-District as a basketball player as well… graduated seventh in her class, with distinguished honors.

Personal: Daughter of Cornelius and Kimberlee Ross… has two siblings, Kymmalett and Cornelius… father played college football at Humboldt State and went on to play in the Arena Football League, earning Arena Bowl III Ironman of the Game honors in 1989… sister Kymmalett is a sprinter for Austin Peay… plans to major in theatre at Austin Peay.
