2019 Season (Junior)

• Spent time at the No. 1, 2 and 3 pairings during the year
• Began the season paired with Cori Theiss, going 5-9 together, including a 3-0 record at the No. 3 pairing
• Played nine matches at the No. 1 pairing with Ciera Koons, picking up a victory against Tusculum
• Closed out the season playing with Chloe Stitt at the No. 3 pairing, picking up three consecutive wins in the Governors Beach Bash

2018 Season (Sophomore)

• Played the entire season at the No. 1 pairing, with Cecily Gable, as the pair went 10-13 on the year
• Finished 3-1 at the Govs home tournament, helping the team go 4-0 to close out the season
• Swept the No. 1 tandem of Morehead State in straight-sets during their April 2 doubleheader

2017 Season (Freshman)

• Only Gov to play every single match at the No. 1 pairing, rotating partners throughout the season
• Won an epic three-set match against Louisiana-Monroe’s Hadley Swartz and Tara Jenkins (20-22, 21-16, 16-14)

Personal
The daughter of Doug and Becky Gerig… born Dec. 21… has seven siblings: Nicki, Vanessa, Jackie, Jessie, David, Katie and Janelle… Ginny is the fourth collegiate volleyball player in her family… Nicki, who played at Auburn (2007) and Florida Atlantic (2008-10); Vanessa, who played at North Alabama (2010-11); Jackie, who played at LSU (2012) and Arkansas State (2013); and Jessie, who is currently a setter at Youngstown State.
