Athletics Director’s Honor Roll (F17, F18)
2019 (Senior): Played in all 15 games and recorded 382 rushing yards and 530 all-purpose yards… Ran for season’s first touchdown in Govs’ win at Mercer, Sept. 14, finishing with 50 yards on five carries… Next touchdown scored was through the air, his one-yard reception giving the Govs a 21-10 lead in the fourth quarter… That was the first of three consecutive games with a touchdown, scoring on the ground at UT Martin, Nov. 9, before scoring two of Govs first three touchdowns against Murray State, Nov. 16… Ran for a touchdown in Govs NCAA Playoff opener against Furman, Nov. 30.
2018 (Junior): Only running back to play in all 11 games on the season, and got a start against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 27)… key contributor for the top ranked rushing offense in the OVC, finished third on the team with five rushing touchdowns… notched 48 carries for 293 yards – a 6.1 yards per carry average… had a career-long 66-yard touchdown at Morehead State (Sept. 15) to give the Govs the highest point total in school history… carried the ball nine times for 55 yards and a touchdown against TTU… had eight carries for 50 yards and a score at Eastern Illinois (Nov. 10)… capped the season with nine carries for 52 yards and touchdown against Murray State (Nov. 17).
2017 (Sophomore): Reserve running back appeared in 10 games, including a start against Tennessee State (Oct. 14)... accrued 24 carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns on the year... rushed for a season-high 68 yards and a touchdown against Morehead State... scored against Tennessee State (Oct. 14)... also flashed on special teams, recording seven total tackles... notched three tackles and a forced fumble against UT Martin (Sept. 30).
2016 (Freshman): Bruiser got a chance on multiple occasions in 2016… caught a touchdown pass from three yards out in the Sept. 24 contest at Eastern Illinois… posted a career-high three carries for 30 yards the following week against Murray State… season-long 39-yard reception came in the same Nov. 5 Tennessee State contest that also saw him earn his season’s final three carries.
High School: Won DII-AA State Championship as a senior... carried the ball 185 times for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2015... in State Championship game, his touchdown and two-point conversion with 1:01 remaining allowed Brentwood Academy to force overtime against MBA... also an all-region selection.
Personal: Son of Terrine Momodu... born Nov. 4... awarded scholarship week before the start of the 2017 season... majoring in nursing.
