2021 (Graduate Student): Capped off one of the most prestigious careers in Austin Peay history with his third-straight First Team All-OVC selection, despite playing in just six games… Had eight tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack in the season opener at Chattanooga (Sept. 2)… Recorded a career-high two sacks at Ole Miss (Sept. 11) in an eight-tackle performance… Posted a career-best 12 tackles against Southeast Missouri Oct. 9), adding his fourth sack of the season… Tallied four solo stops and one tackle for loss at Murray State (Oct. 23)… Had seven tackles and assisted on a tackle for loss at UT Martin (Oct. 30)… Finished fifth on the team with 41 tackles and third in tackles for loss with seven.

2020-2021 (Senior): While he did not see the ball thrown his way often, the Governors’ two-time consensus All-American defensive back wreaked havoc in opposing teams’ backfield during his senior campaign... Started all nine games at nickelback and ranked second in the OVC and 11th in the FCS with 10.5 tackles for loss... Ranked third on the team in tackles with 55, tallying five pass breakups, 1.5 sacks, and an interception... Had four or more tackles in each game, while recording a tackle for loss in six of nine appearances... Had a career-high three tackles behind the line of scrimmage, including a sack, against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 21) in the conference opener... Was a force on special teams as well, recovering a late onside kick against the Golden Eagles and blocking a punt against Southeast­­­­­­ Missouri (March 14)... Posted a career-high 10 tackles against the Redhawks, while also breaking up two passes and hurrying the quarterback once.

2019 (Junior): Austin Peay’s first consensus All-American since 2002 enjoyed one of the best seasons ever put forth by an Austin Peay defensive back… made 48 tackles across 15 games, with at least one stop behind the line in eight games… opened season with tackles for loss against both North Carolina Central (Aug. 29) and Central Arkansas (Sept. 7)… had one of the finest defensive efforts in program history against Mercer (Sept. 14), with three tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, a pass break-up and two interceptions returned for a touchdown, becoming the 33rd player in FCS history with multiple pick-sixes in one game… had a tackle for loss, a quarterback hurry and two more interceptions in Austin Peay’s historic win against Jacksonville State (Sept. 28)… also posted interceptions against Southeast Missouri, Eastern Kentucky and UT Martin, also adding a sack against the Skyhawks… returned a fumble two yards for a score at Murray State (Nov. 16)… forced and recovered a fumble in the FCS Playoff opener against Furman (Nov. 30)… had tackles for loss in the postseason against the Paladins and Montana State, while also breaking up a pass at Sacramento State, with 14 total tackles across three playoff games.

2018 (Sophomore): Played in 10 games and started eight at the nickelback spot… finished tied for eighth on the team with 32 total tackles… picked off his first pass of the season and had two additional pass break ups at Morehead State (Sept. 15)… had a season-high seven tackles, including 2.0 for loss, and an interception against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 3)… broke up two passes and forced a fumble that was recovered by Jaison Williams in the season finale against Murray State.

2017 (Freshman): Played in all 12 games as a freshman, and impressed early with six starts in the first seven games of the year… led the Govs with seven passes broken up… despite playing in the defensive backfield, became a threat in the offensive backfield by finishing third on the squad with three sacks… recorded 42 total tackles on the year, including six for loss… amassed a season-high seven tackles, including one for loss, in the season opener at Cincinnati… followed up that performance with six tackles, including a sack, at Miami University the next weekend… also had six tackles and a sack against Southeast Missouri (Oct. 21)… picked off a pass against UT Martin (Sept. 30).

High School: Three-year letter winner at Ramsay High School… Led Ramsay to the Alabama 6A State Championship… Finished his senior season with two interceptions and was the anchor for the defense that gave up 16.1 points per game… Collected 10 career interceptions and 235 total tackles… Named first team all-conference, all-city and all-state as a senior.

Personal: Kordell A. Jackson is the son of Fransetta Henry and Keith Jackson… Birthday is April 9… Has two siblings: Kendall and Kristopher… Earned his first bachelor’s degree in human movement in May 2021… Pursuing a second bachelor’s degree with a leadership and organizational administration major.
