2018 (Junior): Finished First-Team All-OVC for the second straight season after tying for third in the OVC and leading the Govs with a career-best 14.0 tackles for loss on the season… also led the Govs with 4.5 sacks and finished sixth on the team with 44 total tackles… had four total tackles – all behind the line of scrimmage – against Eastern Illinois (Nov. 10), including 2.0 sacks and two assisted tackles for loss… a season-best seven total tackles – including a career-high 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack – against Morehead State (Sept. 15)… followed up that performance with seven tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss at UT Martin (Sept. 22)… finished second on the team with seven quarterback hurries, including three in the finale against Murray State (Nov. 17)… also recovered a fumble and returned it 22 yards against the Racers… had five tackles, including 1.5 for loss and a sack, against Tennessee State (Oct. 6)… posted 1.5 tackles for loss against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 27).
2017 (Sophomore): Broke out in major way en route to being named second-team All-American by the Associated Press and third-team All-American by STATS... also named to the HERO Sports All-Sophomore team and the All-OVC first team as a defensive lineman... wreaked havoc off the edge, recording 9.5 sacks on the year, a mark that is good for third all-time at Austin Peay... tied the program record with four forced fumbles on the season... finished second on the team with 11.5 tackles for loss... caused problems in the backfield even when not recording a sack, leading the team with 13 quarterback hurries... recorded 2.5 tackles for loss, including a sack in Week 4 at Murray State... followed that performance with six tackles, a season-high 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble against UT Martin... credited with a season-best 10 total tackles against Jacksonville State in Week 6, including a sack and two forced fumbles... continued his hot streak with seven total tackles, including two sacks and a forced fumble in Week 7 at Tennessee State... also recorded sacks against Miami University, Southeast Missouri and Tennessee Tech.
2016 (Freshman): Quick edge rusher got multiple opportunities and made the most of them… made four tackles and assisted on a stop behind the line of scrimmage in the opener at Troy, Sept. 3… made at least one tackle for loss in the next three games (Tennessee Tech, Eastern Illinois and Murray State), including two sacks against the Racers, Oct. 1… assisted on six tackles and recovered two fumbles at UT Martin, Oct. 8… the following week, made 1.5 tackles for loss, including a half-sack, at Jacksonville State, Oct. 15… recovered a fumble and added a half-tackle for loss in the Oct. 22 game against Mercer… brought down a sack and added a hurry at Southeast Missouri, Oct. 29.
High School: Recorded 96 tackles (13 TFL) as a senior... 2015 All-Tribune selection... Hewitt-Trussville advanced to AHSAA playoffs three times during his career... Alabama state record holder in the discus; was All-State in 2015.
