Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a senior in 2019-20:

Spring Season

• Rejoined the Governors for spring season, and won three singles matches in the No. 6 position.
• Played exclusively in the No. 3 doubles position, winning three-straight matches with Oliver Andersson from Feb. 18 to Feb. 28.
• Paired with Thiago Nogueria to win his final doubles match of the season, beating Southern Indiana, 6-0, in the No. 3 doubles matchup.

As a junior in 2018-19:

Spring Season

• Compiled the second-most singles wins by a Governor in the spring, going 7-9 at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
• Won four singles matches in a row, all in straight sets, against Cumberland, IUPUI, Carson-Newman, and Southern Indiana.
• Defeated Belmont’s David Faulkner, 6-4, 6-1, on Senior Day.

Fall Season

• Picked up a singles win against Bellarmine’s Joe Naville (6-3, 6-4) in the Louisville Invitational Flight D Singles Draw.
• Teamed with Chad Woodham for an 8-3 win over Naville and LJ Allara in the Louisville Flight C Doubles Draw.

As a sophomore in 2017-18:

• Sat out season due to transferring

Prior To Austin Peay

A transfer from Ottawa University… posted a 24-6 mark at Blue Valley West HS… won the Kansas 5 A State Doubles Championship in 2015.

Son of Richard and Lori Sanders… majored in sports broadcasting.
