Biography
2021-22: Competed in six meets during both the indoor and outdoor season … earned six top-ten finishes … during the indoor season, placed ninth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.06 at the Don DeNoon Invite … placed ninth once again in the 60-meter dash at the OVC Indoor Championships … a part of the Govs 4x100-meter relay team finish third at the Kentucky Track & Field Invitational with a time of 46.72 … helped the APSU 4x100-meter relay team earn a season-best time of 46.53 at the OVC Outdoor Championships, finishing fourth
2020-21: Saw action in three meets, competing in the 100 and 200-meter dashes… posted season-bests in both events at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold, which was her season’s final appearance.
2019-20: Sprint standout continued to develop in second season… opened season with a fourth-place, 26.02 mark in the 200m dash at the Saluki Fast Start… finished eighth in the 55m dash at the Ed Temple Classic… busy day at the Thundering Herd Invitational, taking sixth in the 60m dash (7.89), seventh in the 200m (25.52) and seventh in the 4x400m relay (4:10.39).
2018-19: Another outstanding find for Valerie Brown on the track… took a top-five finish in the 60m dash in her second career attempt at the Saluki Fast Start… third in the 200m at the Ed Temple Classic, to pair with a sixth-place finish in the 55m dash… runner-up in the 200m at the Thundering Herd Invitational, while putting together a fifth-place finish in the 60m as well… picked up a win in the 55m dash at the Redhawk Open with a personal-best 7.22 mark… just missed a place in the finals in the 60m dash at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships, placing ninth with a personal-best 7.71 mark… in first outdoor appearance, picked up a win in the 200m dash at 24.81 seconds… third in the 200m at the Hilltopper Relays… second in the 100m (12.26), fourth in the 200m (25.12) and helped the Govs to a win in the 4x100m at the APSU Invitational… made the finals in both the 100m and 200m at the OVC Outdoor Championships, placing fifth (12.27) and eighth (25.54), respectively.
