Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a senior in 2022-23:

Spring Season

• Earned two singles and three doubles victories.
• Allowed just one game against Brescia’s Juan Tavera, March 2, to claim his first singles win of the season.
• Came back from a 4-1 third-set deficit to clinch the program’s first-ever ASUN victory, March 25.
• Picked up his first doubles win against Cumberlands, Feb. 23, alongside Bodi van Galen before pairing with Hogan Stoker to earn a 7-5 win from the No. 3 position Feb. 28.

As a sophomore in 2020-21:

Spring Season

• Exclusively played No. 6 singles, where he picked up a straight-sets victory against Eastern Illinois’ Kyle Burton in the home finale.
• Partnered with Gabriel Nolasco Pozo to win a pair of OVC matches in the No. 3 doubles position.

As a freshman in 2019-20:

Spring Season

• Won his final two singles matches, while playing exclusively on the No. 6 line.
• Paired with Hunter Sanders to win his final doubles match of the season, beating Southern Indiana, 6-0, in the No. 3 doubles matchup.

Fall Season

• Won a pair of singles and a pair of doubles matches in the fall.
• Picked up his first collegiate win when he beat Cumberland’s Frangil Ramirez (6-3, 6-1) at the APSU Hidden Duel.
• Paired with Jacob Lorinio to win back-to-back doubles matches at the UTC – Steve Baras Fall Invitational.

Prior to Austin Peay
The Clarksville native prepped under Christopher Hester at Rossview HS… he was the first Rossview tennis player to ever play at the state tournament.
