Biography
2021-22: Competed in six meets during both the indoor and outdoor season, primarily in the field … tallied 20 top-ten finishes and eight top-five finishes … finished seventh in the weight throw at the OVC Indoor Championships with a career-best mark of 16.09 meters … earned an event victory at the OVC Trio meet during the outdoor campaign in the shot put with a mark of 13.18 meters … notched a career-best mark in the discus throw at 46.39 meters at the Outdoor Music City Challenge … placed second at the OVC Outdoor Championships in the shot put with a mark of 13.71 meters
2020-21: Made a leap forward in her third season… opened her campaign with a fourth-place showing in the shot put (13.22 meters) at the Bill Cornell Invite… posted a trio of top-eight finishes at the Margaret Simmons Invitational, in the shot put (12.03 meters, seventh), discus (40.70 meters, fourth) and hammer (a career-best 49.27 meters, third)… hammer throw mark was the best in program history… placed fifth in the shot put (13.71 meters) at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold, posting the sixth-best toss in program history… also posted a personal-best 41.66 meter discus throw to place sixth and posted a 45.52 meter hammer for the second-best throw in program history… earned bronze in the shot put with a personal-best 14.21 meter throw at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships, becoming the first Gov to medal in a throwing event since 2012 thanks to the second-longest shot put toss in program history… her 43.53 meter hammer throw at the Outdoor Championships was the fifth-best in program history.
2019-20: Made strides in her second year and is on a trajectory to earn points for the Govs in the future… opened season with a seventh-place, 13.01m shot put at the Saluki Fast Start… third in the shot put (12.74m) and fifth in the weight throw (14.90m) at the Ed Temple Classic… third in the shot put (13.00m) and fourth in the weight throw (15.05m) at the Samford Indoor Clash… won the shot put at the Thundering Herd Invitational at 12.95m and tossed up a personal-best 15.14m mark to take fourth in the weight throw; her weight throw toss was the fifth-longest in program history… competed in the shot put and weight throw for the 2020 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championship-winning Govs.
2018-19: Despite injury issues as a freshman, displayed a bright future… only able to appear in two indoor meets, but enjoyed great success: first, with a personal-best 14.98m weight throw mark and a seventh-place, 12.81m toss in the shot put at the Vanderbilt Opener, followed by a personal-best 13.06m toss to earn fifth in the shot at the Saluki Fast Start… the 14.98m at Vanderbilt stands as the seventh-best toss in program history… upon her return during outdoor season, quickly made a mark in the discus, first with a 10th-place finish at the Joey Haines Invitational, then with a personal-best 36.93m toss at the Hilltopper Relays… took ninth in the shot put (12.45m) in Bowling Green… runner-up in the shot put (12.72m) and fifth in the discus (36.17m) in her first home meet… battled a tough field to place ninth in the shot put at the Georgia Tech Invitational… her 42.36m hammer throw toss at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships ranks fourth all-time in program history.
Prior to Austin Peay: Competed in throwing events at Saint Francis High school where she finished first in 1A for the shot put and second in the discus in for her senior year.
Personal: Daughter of Maurice and Shelly McDaniel… has one sibling, Kami… born June 8… majoring in actuarial science.
