2021-22: Competed in seven meets during the indoor season and six during the outdoor campaign … registered 13 top-five finishes … finished third at the OVC Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.64 … finished fifth in the field in the triple jump at the OVC Indoor Championships with a mark of 11.60 meters … earned a career-best time of 13.88 in the 100-meter hurdles to finish third at the OVC Outdoor Championships
2020-21: Fought through injury for much of the season and still turned in a solid outing each week, a testament to her skill and fortitude… opened season with an eighth-place, 5.13-meter long jump at the Bill Cornell Invite… posted a personal-best 13.18 in the 100-meter dash at the Margaret Simmons Invitational… 14.76 100-meter hurdles mark gave her third at the Hilltopper Relays… placed eighth in the triple jump at the Kentucky Open with a 10.92 meter leap… grabbed points at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships with a 14.46 100-meter hurdle showing, placing sixth.
2019-20: Do-it-all dynamo was once again a powerful force for the Govs… opened season with a 60m hurdles win (8.71) at the Saluki Fast Start… victorious in the 55m hurdles (8.21) at the Ed Temple Classic… won the 60m hurdles (8.74) again at the Samford Indoor Clash… picked up another win in the 60m hurdles at the Thundering Herd Invitational while also adding a triple jump victory after hitting 11.47m… in season’s penultimate meet, set a personal best in the triple jump with an 11.80m mark to take fourth and won the 60m hurdles at the Bulldog Open with an 8.63 mark… scored in four events at the 2020 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships, finding the podium twice… took eighth in the long jump (5.35m) and made the 60m dash finals on the strength of a personal-best 7.70 during qualifying; she placed eighth in the final to pick up another point for the Govs… took silver in the triple jump at 11.68m… won her second-straight gold in the indoor 60m hurdles with an 8.62 mark in the finals.
2018-19: After a freshman season that ended with injury, her sophomore campaign was a redemption arc… picked up a win in the 55m hurdles at the Ed Temple Classic with an 8.17 mark… third in the 60m hurdles at the Thundering Herd Invitational… closed indoor campaign with four straight top-three finishes in the 60m hurdles at Marshall, the Fred Wilt Open (third, 8.70), the Bulldog Open (second, 8.67) and the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships, where her personal-best 8.59 mark gave her gold in the event and the fourth-fastest mark in Austin Peay history… also picked up points in the long jump with a sixth-place finish at the OVC Indoor Championships… opened outdoor session with a win in the 100m hurdles at the Coastal Carolina Invitational… a fifth-place showing in 100m shuttle (a non-NCAA ranked event) at the Florida Relays… turned a corner in field events with a personal-best 5.75m at the Hilltopper Relays, taking fourth; also picked up a win in the 100m hurdles (14.43) in Bowling Green… again won the 100m hurdles with a 14.16 at the APSU Invitational; also took third in the long jump (5.60m) and sixth in the 200m (25.53)… broke 14 seconds in the 100m hurdles for the first time in nearly a year at the Memphis Tiger Invitational, where her 13.99 mark placed her third… after laboring to merely finish and pick up a point at the 2018 OVC Outdoor Championships in the 100m hurdles, bounced back a year later with a gold medal-earning performance at the 2019 event, where her 13.89 mark was both a personal-best and the 10th-fastest in program history… she also showcased continually improving prowess in the jumps, posting a fifth-place, 11.64m finish in the event at the OVC Championships to earn points for the Govs.
2017-18: Dabbled in a little of everything in her first season as a versatile athlete capable of holding her own in myriad events… a strong jumps competitor, her pre-Christmas indoor campaign included a seventh-place long jump (4.71m) and fifth-place triple jump (personal-best 10.88m) at the Saluki Fast Start, as well as a fourth-place, 25.96 run in the 200m dash… runner-up in the 55m hurdles with a personal-best 8.17 at the Ed Temple Classic; also picked up a sixth-place 25.86 run in Nashville… placed third in the 60m hurdles at the Samford Open with an 8.82 mark… first pentathlon attempt at the Don DeNoon Invitational yielded a personal-best 3,363 points and a seventh-place finish; also placed fourth in the long jump with a personal-best 5.49m… runner-up in the 60m hurdles at the Buckeye Tune-Up thanks to a personal-best 8.63 mark… earned the Govs a point with an eighth-place pentathlon finish at the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships (2,947 points) and brought home bronze in the 60m hurdles with an 8.76 mark… injured cut into her first outdoor as a Governor… hit personal-bests in the preliminaries of both the 100m hurdles (13.92) and 200m dash (24.45) at the 2018 OVC Outdoor Championships but a severe hamstring strain limited her in the finals.
Prior to Austin Peay: Multi-sport talent for Brandon Lowry at CSAS… became the second female athlete in TSSAA history to win state titles in five events—pentathlon, long jump, triple jump, 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles—at the 2017 TSSAA Class A-AA state championships, accruing 50 of CSAS’ 54 team points by herself… four-time Chattanooga Times-Free Press Best of Preps honoree (second-team as a freshman, first-team sophomore-senior)… accomplished on the hardwood as well, as an all-region and all-district performer who won Region 5A Player of the Year as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Toby and Cheryl Walker… has one sibling, Lamiah… born June 7… majoring in biology.
