Athletic Director's Honor Roll (S20, F21)
2021 (Graduate Student): Played in all 11 games, starting nine at cornerback… Had a season-high six tackles at Ole Miss (Sept. 11)… Recorded three tackles and one tackle for loss at Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 25)… Had an interception in back-to-back weeks, starting with a five-tackle outing at Murray State (Oct. 23) followed by a pick-six during a four-tackle performance at UT Martin (Oct. 30)… Finished sixth on the team with 20 solo tackles.
2020-2021 (Redshirt Junior): Played eight games, starting in six at cornerback, during the 2020-2021 season... Had three tackles and two pass breakups in the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff game against Central Arkansas (Aug. 29)... Made five tackles against both Pittsburgh (Sept. 12) and Cincinnati (Sept. 19), also broke up a pass against the Bearcats… Made three tackles, including one for a loss, in conference opener against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 21)... Made a season-high seven tackles in the Govs’ double-overtime win at Southeast Missouri (March 14)… Finished the season with 26 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a trio of pass breakups.
2019 (Redshirt Sophomore): Stalwart backfield presence made 15 appearances and recorded 64 tackles while also breaking up six passes… made at least four tackles in 11 of 15 games, including the season opener against North Carolina Central (Aug. 29); also added a pass break-up against the Eagles… broke up passes in three straight games against Mercer, ETSU and Jacksonville State… monster performance at Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 2), with nine tackles (six solo) and one tackle for loss… returned an interception 19 yards and shared a tackle for loss at Murray State (Nov. 16)… made six tackles and added a tackle for loss in the regular-season finale against Eastern Illinois (Nov. 23) and in the FCS Opening Round contest against Furman (Nov. 30)… came up big multiple times in the postseason, with a pass break-up at Sacramento State (Dec. 7) and fumble recovery at Montana State (Dec. 14).
2018 (Sophomore): Suited up 10 times in 2018, and got starts against Georgia (Sept. 1) and UT Martin (Sept. 22)… finished the season tied for 10th for the Govs with 27 total tackles… posted a season-best six tackles (4 solo) at Georgia and had six (3 solo) against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 27)… had five total stops at UT Martin… broke up two passes at Morehead State (Sept. 15).Â
2017 (Freshman): Played twice in 2017, including a start against Morehead State (Sept. 16)… recorded three total tackles against MSU… redshirted.
High School: Letter winner at Cordova High School… Named to the Tennessee Class 6A All-Region Team… Recorded 80 tackles and averaged 5.7 tackles a game his senior year… Competed in track and field… Ranked a two-star prospect from 247sports.com… Ranked the No. 84 prospect in the state of Tennessee.
Personal: Isaiah Jermaine Norman is the son of Vivian and Joseph Norman… born July 14… has one sibling, Eboni… Earned a bachelor’s degree in sports broadcasting in May 2021… Pursuing a master’s degree in media management at Austin Peay.
