ASUN Freshman of the Week: Sept. 26, Nov. 7 (2022)
2022: Played in all 11 games and made one start at wide receiver... Made a pair of catches for 15 yards and returned a kick for 20 yards against Presbyterian (Sept. 3)… Had two catches for 25 yards and caught his first collegiate touchdown – a nine-yard score – against Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 10)… Returned three kicks for 73 yards, with a long return of 28 yards against Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 24)… Had two kick returns for 47 yards at Central Arkansas (Oct. 1)… Recorded two receptions for a career-best 81 yards, including a career-long 69-yard touchdown, against North Alabama (Nov. 5)… Posted two catches for 28 yards and a rush for 19 yards in his first career start against Kennesaw State (Nov. 12)… Made three catches for 22 yards and had a career-long 30-yard kick return against Alabama (Nov. 19)… Finished the season with 12 catches for 181 yards and two touchdowns while returning seven kicks for 170 yards and a 15.5-yard average.
2021: Saw action in four games during freshman campaign… Made collegiate debut against Chattanooga (Sept. 2).
High School: Prepped as a quarterback for head coach Cornelius Anthony at B.F. Terry High School… Racked up 2,239 all-purpose yards – 1,360 rushing and 879 passing – and 27 total touchdowns – 17 rushing and 10 passing – in 2020… Was named the Texas District 10-5A DI MVP by the coaches in the district… Averaged 9.6 yards per carry and posted four 200-yard rushing performances in his senior campaign… Competed in the triple jump, 4x100 meter relay, 4x200 meter relay, and 200 meters in track & field.
Personal: Kellen Javon Stewart is the son of Wayne Stewart… Birthday is Jan. 3… Has three siblings: Cameron, Kalyan, and Jalen… A management major.
