Austin Peay State University Athletics

2021-22: Competed in six meets during the indoor season and five during the outdoor campaign … tallied seven top-ten finishes … ran a career-best time of 5:21.68 in the mile at the Vanderbilt Invitational … had an individual season-best third-place finish at the Don DeNoon Invite in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:22.49 … a part of the Govs Distance Medley Relay team that ran the fastest time in school history at the OVC Championships with a time of 12:14.16  … a part of the Govs 4x800-meter relay team that won the event at the Margaret Simmons Invite with a time of 9:32.55

2020-21: Made two appearances during cross country season at the Belmont Opener and the OVC Cross Country Championships… during outdoor season, helped Austin Peay to a pair of eighth-place finishes in the 4x400-meter relays at the Hilltopper Relays and Vanderbilt Black and Gold… posted a personal-best 4:53.28 in the 1500-meter run at Vanderbilt… competed in the 800-meter run at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships, placing 16^th overall.

2019-20 Track and Field: Made three appearances in 2019-20… took seventh in the mile at the Ed Temple Classic with a 5:51.53 mark… also ran the 800m at the Gene Edmonds Memorial and the Samford Indoor Clash.

2019 Cross-Country: Four top-30 finishes as a sophomore, including second career top-10… opened season with back-to-back 29^th-place finishes at Belmont Opener (3.1 mile) and John Flamer Invite (5-kilometer)… personal-best 19:13.3 earned her 10^th in the 3.1 mile race at the APSU Cross-Country Festival… also placed 17^th at the Murray State Open.

2018-19 Track and Field: Bright future in the middle distance events… opened career with a 10^th-place finish in the 800m at the Ed Temple Classic… personal-best 5:35.52 in the mile at the Thundering Herd Invitational… a solid eighth-place showing in the 800m at the Fred Wilt Open… opened outdoor with a seventh-place, 2:23.19 in the 800m at the Coastal Carolina Invitational… eighth in the 1500m (5:12.76) and 10^th in the 800m (2:25.34) at the Hilltopper Relays… took fifth in the 800m at the APSU Invitational and also ran a leg of the third-place 4x400m relay finish… saved the best for last with personal-bests in the 800m (2:17.58) and 1500m (4:54.50) at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships.

Prior to Austin Peay: Competed in distance at Woodridge High School... Posted personal-bests; 2:15 (800m), 5:14 (1600m), and 19:04 (5k) entering college...First team in XC and track all four years. Runner of the year in XC (twice) and in track (once)... Member of 2016 XC team champions and won 7 out of 8 conference titles.

Personal: Daughter of Jeff and Catherine Howard... Has two siblings, Libby and Natalie...Father ran XC and track at Kent State University... Born Sept. 7... Majoring in nursing.
