The purpose of the Austin Peay Dance Team is to provide support to all Austin Peay athletic teams and the University. The support is directed in four major areas: 

    1. To raise the level of fan support for Austin Peay athletics by entertaining the crowd in an appropriate manner.
    2. To lead the crowd in positive support for all teams and solicit that support from the fans. 
    3. To serve as public relations ambassadors of Austin Peay athletics and to uphold the goals, ideals, and standards of the institution at all times. 
    4. To enrich our own area of athleticism through a competitive aspect.  

The current team scholarship amount is dependent upon the number of team members. Scholarships are awarded per semester (for four years or for the time each member is on the squad). To receive or maintain the Dance Team scholarship, each dancer must be enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
