Athletics Facilities Security Policies & Fan Code of Conduct
For the safety and security of our guests Austin Peay State University's athletics department provides the following lists of prohibited and permitted items.
FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING INTO ANY ATHLETICS FACILITY:
- Seat cushions measuring larger than 18" and contain zippers, pockets or concealable areas.
- Glass bottles, cans, frozen drinks of any type, coolers of any kind, thermoses or ice chests.
- Metal bottles, cans, or coolers.
- Alcohol of any kind.
- Tobacco Products, Vapors, or illegal drugs.
- Banners, signs or flags of any size.
- Large golf-sized umbrellas, laser pointers, and balls of any kind including full-sized footballs.
- Single-purpose video cameras.
- Weapons (including knives), any item that may be used as a projectile or one that is deemed dangerous by University security.
- Any animal with the exception of a service animal, with documentation required to be presented upon request in accordance with University policies.
- Electric or battery operated apparel, including but not limited to blankets, socks, coats, etc.
- Food and beverage items.
- Any other item deemed inappropriate by University security.
FANS MAY BRING THE FOLLOWING INTO ANY ATHLETICS FACILITY:
- Still-photography cameras with a lens that is 6" or less in length not contained in a case.
- Hand-carried jackets, blankets, or other items, which will be patted down or searched.
- Service Animals with appropriate documentation available upon request of University security staff.
Austin Peay State University's Athletics Department is committed to a safe and respectful environment and game day experience that respects the rights of each and every guest. All fans are expected to abide by the standards of behavior as outlined below:
The FAN CODE OF CONDUCT requires fans to refrain from the following:
- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature.
- Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance impairment resulting in poor behavior.
- Foul, obscene, threatening, offensive or abusive language, gestures or actions.
- Interfering with the progress of the game.
- Throwing any object while in the stadium.
- Failing to follow the instructions of stadium personnel.
- Verbal or physical harassment or intimidation of opposing team fans, student-athletes or game officials.
- Smoking inside any athletics facility.
- Fighting or physical violence of any type.
- Indecent exposure or the wearing of obscene or indecent clothing.
- Conduct that endangers any other person.
- Ethnic intimidation.
Violators of any of the above standards will be ejected from the stadium. Season ticket holders may have account privileges revoked without reimbursement at the discretion of the Austin Peay Athletics Department.
