Academics: AD Honor Roll (F15)
As a junior: Earned his touches and showed why the coaching staff believed in turning him loose with the ball in his hands, en route to second-team All-OVC honors as a return specialist—the first time a Governor return specialist has earned postseason honors from the OVC since former All-American Terrence Holt in 2009… had more than 100 all-purpose yards in seven contests, averaging 113.1 all-purpose yards per game (fourth-most in the OVC)… had five touches (three rushes, two receptions) and returned five kicks 97 yards in the opener at Troy, Sept. 3… took a kickoff back 98 yards for a score at Eastern Illinois, Sept. 24, and earned OVC Specialist of the Week honors… nabbed a season-best seven catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns at UT Martin, Oct. 8… caught six passes for 81 yards and returned five kicks for 100 against Mercer, Oct. 22… was a true three-way threat against Tennessee State, Nov. 5—in addition to a season-best 198 all-purpose yards (season-high 61 rushing, 32 receiving, 81 on kick returns, 1 on punt returns), Moore played cornerback for the entire game and picked off a pass, which he returned 23 yards.
As a sophomore: Spent his sophomore season as a defensive back, even earning a start in the season finale, but look for him on the other side of the ball in 2016… recorded multiple tackles in his first three appearances, including three against Vanderbilt and Eastern Illinois… returned an interception 33 yards against the Panthers—his first career pick… blocked a PAT against Southeast Missouri in the home finale.
As a freshman: Earned more playing time as the year went on… finished tied for third in the conference and and 42nd nationally with two fumble recoveries… made 17 tackles as a freshman, 13 in the season’s final three games… season-high six stops (four solo) and two fumble recoveries against Tennessee State… made four solo stops in the season finale against Tennessee Tech.
High School: Pilfered six passes as senior, returning one for TD at McAdory High School… rushed for more than 400 yards and eight TDs while also passing for more than 800 yards… chosen All-State as well as all-metro and all-West Alabama.
Personal: Applied exercise science major… son of Roderick and MaKeitha Moore… born Sept. 19.
