Prior to Austin Peay: Began his collegiate career at James Madison (2020) before transferring to Division II Charleston (W. Va.) (2022-24). 2024: Appeared in 12 games for the Golden Eagles… Had at least one tackle for loss in each of the season's first four games... Had a season-high 3.5 tackles for loss in a seven-tackle performance at Livingstone (Aug. 31)… Had a tackle for loss and pass breakup against California (PA) (Sept. 7)… Had a pair of tackles for loss and five solo tackles against UNC Pembroke (Sept. 21)… Matched his season high with seven tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, at Concord (Sept. 28)… Had six tackles at Frostburg State (Oct. 19)… Had seven tackles, a sack, and a season-high two pass breakups at West Virginia Wesleyan (Nov. 9)... Finished the season with 50 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and four pass breakups. 2023: Appeared in 12 games as a redshirt sophomore… Had a tackle for loss in a three-tackle outing against Gannon (Aug. 31)… Recorded his first sack of the season against West Virginia Wesleyan (Sept. 23)... Compiled 29 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble-recovery touchdown on the season. 2022: Appeared in four games... Recorded a tackle and quarterback hurry against Alderson Broaddus (Sept. 26). 2020: Redshirted in his lone season at James Madison.
High School: Played defensive back for Danny Dodson at Woodside High School… Was a Virginia High School League 5A Second Team All-State selection as a senior… Earned 5A First Team All-Region honors following his junior and senior seasons, in addition to being a First Team All-Peninsula District selection as a senior and a second team selection as a junior…. Helped WHS to a 10-2 record in 2019 and a berth in the second round of the 5A playoffs… During his senior season, WHS posted seven shutouts and allowed just 5.0 points per game.
Personal: Andrew Charles Chamblee Sr. is the son of Aldric and Selena Chamblee… Birthday is Aug. 9... Has a son, Andrew Chamblee Jr.... Has one sibling, AJ... Father, Aldric, played at Virginia Tech and was a 12th-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 1991 NFL Draft... Graduated from Charleston in April 2025 with a bachelor’s in sport business… Pursuing a master's in leadership science.
