College:Anthony Marion: Began his season debut against the Virginia Tech Hokies, acquiring a solo tackle, and two assisted tackles.  In offseason of defensive line moves, was shifted from interior to defensive end...after struggling maintaining weight as inside performer, quickness and power from outside position should work to his advantage...in 2011, led Govs interior linemen in tackles with 24...collected more than half of them in season's final four games...was credited with six assists in loss to Eastern Illinois, including 0.5 tackles for loss...also shared tackle for loss against Murray State while collecting season-high seven tackles against ...in 2010, ranked second among returning linemen with 20 tackles, all coming against the run... also had a half tackle-for-loss and a quarterback hurry... played in all 11 games... had five tackles in season opener against Cumberland... followed with two stops at Middle Tennessee... had three tackles, including a half tackle-for-loss at Jacksonville State... also had three tackles at UT Martin... saw time in 10 games on the defensive line as a redshirt freshman in 2009...made eight tackles, five of them coming against the rush...missed first week of Summer camp because of medical issue...earned playing time in 2009 after redshirting 2008... used redshirt season to add strength and bulk to frame...coming off solid spring campaign.

High School: Defensive end and tackle along with offensive guard and tackle for Nathan Cole at Mitchell High School...earned All-Metro as defensive lineman...led team with 13 sacks...ranked 12th in state with yards lost (40) for sacks...ended year with 76 solo stops and 19 assists ...two-sport athlete also competed in track and field.

Personal: Computer science major...member of Athletics Director's Honor Roll in Spring 2009...son of Calvin Marion and Dorothy Pernell...born April 20, 1990...age 21.
