College: Will battle for more playing time as sophomore after working his way onto field as walk-on a year ago...played in 10 games as freshman, being primarily as blocking tight end as well as special teams member...still seeking first reception.

High School: Tight end and fullback for Thomas McDaniel at Oakland High School...chosen as all-district along with All-Daily News Journal...also picked as Tennessee All-Star.

Personal: Business management major… member of Athletics Director’s Honor Roll in spring...son of Brian and Darla Hughes...born July 7, 1994… age 19.
