College: Returns as Govs starting cornerback after hand injury interrupted 2013… played in season’s first three games of 2013 before thumb injury and subsequent surgery sidelined him… had two tackles and a forced fumble in season opener against Tennessee… had five tackles and an interception—his first career interception—against Vanderbilt… had three more tackles against Eastern Illinois… started 9 of 11 games in 2012… led all Govs cornerbacks with 42 tackles (31 solo)… made four tackles in each of the first three games, including a four solo-stop effort against Tennessee State… also had a pass breakup against Western Kentucky… made three solo tackles against UT Martin… made six tackles against Eastern Kentucky and a season-high seven against Southeast Missouri, with four solo stops in each contest… made four solo tackles against Jacksonville State (adding a fumble recovery) and against Tennessee Tech in the season finale… young cornerback stepped in as freshman in 2011 to provide quality relief… playing time increased as season progressed… gained experience from the outset as back-up cornerback and sometimes nickel or dime back… became valuable reserve even more so down stretch… recorded eight of his nine tackles in season’s final six weeks… was credited with four tackles against Murray State in Week No. 10… also had pass break up and blocked kick in that contest.

High School: Played defensive back and running back/receiver for Thomas McDaniel at Oakland High School… two-time selection for all-region and all-county teams… in 2010 was named to All-Mid State and All-State teams… Played in the East-West All-Star game… defensively had 45 tackles, and eight pass breakups… on offense rushed for 125 yards, had 370 receiving yards and seven touchdowns… averaged more than 20 yards per punt and kick return.
