Austin Silvoy, previously the wide receivers coach at Middle Tennessee returns for his second season as Austin Peay’s football staff as co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
Silvoy joined Austin Peay after five seasons at Middle Tennessee where he began as a quality control coach before being promoted to wide receivers coach. He began his coaching career at Central Oklahoma in 2011 followed by a four-year tenure at Florida Tech. A 2011 graduate of Troy, Silvoy played four seasons with the Trojans.

AUSTIN PEAY (2020-21)
2020: Named co-Offensive Coordinator and wide receivers coach, Dec. 2, 2020.Led a wide receivers group that led the OVC with 15 touchdown receptions and was second with 1,343 receiving yards. Wide receiver DeAngelo Wilson became the first Governors player since 1964 to earn the OVC Offensive Player of the Year award after leading the league in both receiving yards (562) and receptions per game (7.4) during the conference slate.
MIDDLE TENNESSEE (2016-20)
2020: In COVID-19 shortened season, saw two receivers average more than 60 yards per game.
2019: Coached three receivers who each finished with 500-plus yards and 30-plus receptions during the season. Wide receiver Ty Lee become Middle Tennessee’s career leader in receptions (260) and touchdown receptions (24) and third in receiving yards (3,062) and earned his third All-Conference USA award.
2018: Lee was named honorable mention All-C-USA after amassing 71 receptions for 883 yards and seven touchdowns. Middle Tennessee enjoyed an 8-6 campaign, concluding with an invitation to the 2018 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
2017: Silvoy was elevated to wide receivers coach in March 2017. Lee earned Second Team All-CUSA after posting 955 receiving yards ad five touchdowns on 79 receptions, finishing the year with 1,068 all-purpose yards. Middle Tennessee finished the season 7-6, including a 2017 Camellia Bowl victory against Arkansas State.
2016: Joined the Blue Raiders staff in 2016, serving as a quality control coach. Was a member of the staff that led MTSU to an 8-5 record and an invitation to the Hawaii Bowl.
FLORIDA TECH (2012-15)
2015: Helped lead Florida Tech to runner-up finish in Golf South Conference in its third year of intercollegiate competition. Wide receiver R.J. Lowder was named Second Team All-American by USA College Football following a 46-catch, 616-yard season that included five touchdowns.
2014: Coached wide receiver Xavier Milton, who became a DAKTRONICS Second Team All-American in 2014, named the 2014 Gulf South Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year, and was a First Team All-Gulf South Conference selection. Florida Tech’s passing game ranked 29th among Division II program with 288.7 yards per game.
2013: Coached Milton to unanimous First Team All-GSC in 2013 with 70 receptions for 761 yards. Florida Tech secured five wins in its inaugural season, including a win in the Eastern College Athletic Conference’s Division II Futures Bowl. Silvoy earned his second master’s degree in computer education at Florida Tech the following spring.
2012: Named Florida Tech’s wide receivers coach in 2012 and helped develop the program in preparation for its first season of intercollegiate play.
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA (2011)
2011: Coaching career began in 2011 at Central Oklahoma, where Silvoy was the wide receivers and tight ends coach. He coached Bryce Davis, who signed a free-agent contract with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals as a long snapper and tight end in his season with the Bronchos. Silvoy earned a master’s degree in secondary education from Central Oklahoma in 2012.
COLLEGIATE PLAYING CAREER
A four-year letterwinner at Troy, Silvoy was a part of teams that won five consecutive Sun Belt Conference titles and were New Orleans Bowl champions in 2008 and 2010. He received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism at Troy in 2011.
