Joey Phillips

Phillips returns for his second season as a graduate assistant on the Governors coaching staff.

An Austin, Texas native, Phillips joined Austin Peay’s football staff after a spring graduate assistantship at Howard Payne University in Texas. After graduating from Baylor in 2018, Phillips began his coaching career as a defensive assistant at Colorado during the 2018 football season.

Phillips graduated from Baylor in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations.
