2021 (Redshirt Junior): Saw action in one game on a kickoff against UT Martin (Oct. 30).
2020-2021 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in all nine games and was the only Governors specialist to appear as a placekicker, punter, and kickoff specialist during the 2020-21 season... Punted seven times against Pittsburgh (Sept. 12), averaging 32.57 yards per boot, with a season-long 43 yard punt... Averaged 38.9 yards on eight kickoffs and went 16-18 on point-after attempts… Connected on a season-high five extra points against Southeast Missouri (March 14)... attempted three field goals during the spring season.
Prior to Austin Peay: Was a member of Mississippi State roster but did not see action as a freshman in 2019.
High School: A kicker for head coach Tim Carter at Fairhope High School… Selected to play in 2018 Alabama North-South All-Star Game as a senior, converting two PATs, averaging 34.0 yards on three punts and handling kickoff duties… Also was a pitcher and outfielder on baseball team.
Personal: Cole Donlon Deeds is the son of John and Shannon Deeds… Birthday is Dec. 10… Has a brother, Tanner… His grandfather Pete Kelly was a forward on the UConn men’s basketball team (1958-61)… Father played soccer at Miami (Ohio)… A political science major with a minor in pre-law.
