2024: Appeared in 11 games for the Governors at running back and on special teams… Had one carry for two yards in his collegiate debut against Southern Illinois (Sept. 7)… Rushed for a career-high 102 yards, with a season-long 45-yard carry, and his first-career touchdown against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21), earning United Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week honors... His performance against AAMU made him the first APSU freshman to run for 100 yards since Jevon Jackson in 2022 and the first true freshman with a 100-yard rushing game since Ahmaad Tanner in 2017... Had four carries for 32 against Southern Utah (Sept. 28)… Rushed for 45 yards on eight carries against West Georgia (Oct. 5)… Recorded a season-high 11 carries and had 50 rushing yards at Utah Tech (Oct. 19), where he also had his first-career reception… Had a season-long 21-yard reception, while rushing for 10 yards on two carries against Tarleton State (Oct. 26)… Had a season-high two receptions and 27 receiving yards against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 16)… Finished the season with 47 carries for 291 yards and a touchdown while catching six passes for 61 yards... Ranked second on the team in rushing yards and third in carries by a running back... Also finished tied for third on the team with three special teams tackles.

High School: Played running back and defensive back for head coach Chad Frazier at Whitewater High School… Finished prep career with 992 rushing yards and 1,791 all-purpose yards… Amassed 576 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior in 2022 and had 902 all-purpose yards… Region 4-4A Special Teams Player of the Year… Ran for 204 yards and four touchdowns as a junior in 2021 while finishing with 307 kick return yards in a 625 all-purpose yard campaign… Also competed in track & field for the Wildcats, running the 100M, 200M, and 4x100M relay… Qualified for the 2023 Class 4A state championship in the 100M dash and was a member of Wildcats’ 4x100 relay team that competed in the state championship.

Personal: Corey Alexander Richardson is the son of Anthony and Deanna Richardson… Birthday is Jan. 14… Has one sibling, AJ, who played football at Brevard College… A health and human performance major with a sport and wellness specialist concentration.
