Prior to Austin Peay: Spent the first three years of his collegiate career at Mercer (2022-24). 2024: Appeared in 10 games for the Bears, who went 10-3 overall and 7-1 in the SoCon to win their first conference title in 92 years and qualify for the FCS Playoffs... Helped Mercer beat Rhode Island in the first round of the FCS Playoffs before falling to eventual National Champion North Dakota State in the second round. 2023: Played in 12 games... Made his collegiate debut at Ole Miss (Sept. 2)... The Bears went 9-4 with a 6-2 record in the SoCon and qualified for the FCS Playoffs, where they beat Gardner-Webb in the first round before falling to eventual National Champion South Dakota State in the second round. 2022: Redshirted and did not see action during his first collegiate season.

High School: Played on the offensive line for Robert Craft at North Forsyth High School… Helped block for an offense that averaged over 300 yards per game and 160 rushing yards per game during his senior season… Was named an All-Region and All-County selection by Georgia High School Football Daily… Also participated in wrestling for the Raiders, where he was fifth in the state and helped lead his team to a state runner-up finish during his final prep season.

Personal: Elijah Cameron Edwards is the son of Cameron and Sharon Edwards… Birthday is Nov. 19... Has two siblings, Hannah and Holly... A criminal justice major.
