2023: Played in three games on the defensive line before suffering a season-ending injury… Recorded a tackle in his Austin Peay debut at Tennessee (Sept. 9)… Posted a season-best three tackles at ETSU (Sept. 16)… Finished the season with four tackles.

Prior to Austin Peay: Played his true freshman season at Campbell. 2022: Appeared in all 11 games for Fighting Camels… Made four tackles in his collegiate debut against The Citadel (Sept. 1)… Had a tackle and blocked a kick against William & Mary (Sept. 10)… Added three more tackles against East Carolina (Sept. 17)… Blocked his second kick of the year against North Carolina A&T (Oct. 29)… Had four tackles and a forced fumble against Gardner-Webb (Nov. 12)… Had four tackles and his first tackle for loss in the season finale against Delaware State (Nov. 19)… Finished the season with 23 tackles, two blocked kicks, a tackle for loss, and a forced fumble.

High School: Played defensive line for head coach Pepper Johnson at IMG Academy… Spent the first two years of his prep career playing for head coach Dyrri McCain at Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia…  A two-time all-district and all-region selection at Maury, helped the Commodores go 15-0 and win the VHSL Class 5A State Championship as a sophomore in 2019… Also recorded 28 tackles for loss with six sacks to earn first-team All-Tidewater and all-state honors during his final year at Maury in 2019… Totaled 19 tackles for loss and a sack during his first season at IMG while helping the Ascenders go 10-0 and win the USA Today and MaxPreps National Championship… Added 17 tackles for loss with three sacks during his senior season while helping the Ascenders to a No. 25 national ranking and a 9-1 record… Rated a three-star defensive lineman by 247Sports.com and ESPN.

Personal: Paul B. Hutson III is the son of Sonali and Paul Hutson… Birthday is April 1… Has four siblings: Jesse, Tyler, Jaylinn, and Kai… Father, Paul, played football at Virginia Union… A management major.
