2024: Appeared in three games at quarterback for the Governors… Completed 2-of-4 passes for 27 yards at Central Arkansas (Sept. 14), including a career-long 15-yard completion.
2023: Played in one game off the bench at quarterback… Made his collegiate debut at Lindenwood (Sept. 30), completing his lone pass attempt for 12 yards.

Prior to Austin Peay:Â A transfer from Rollins College where he was a centerfielder for the Tars baseball team but did not play during his freshman season.
High School: Led Timber Creek High to a 10-2 record in 2020 and its first district championship since 2015, playing the final nine games after being diagnosed with Type I diabetes… Threw for 1,241 yards and 15 touchdowns with no interceptions in his senior year… Named Orlando Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Year in 2020… Three-sport athlete who also played basketball and baseball… Began prep career at Bloomington South High School in Indiana and led Panthers basketball team to a 26-3 record and a Class 4A state tournament appearance in 2018… Also played football at Bloomington South and rushed for 225 yards and seven touchdowns and threw for eight touchdowns in six games in 2017, helping BSHS reach the Class 5A regional championship game… Suffered knee injury in Spring 2018 that caused him to miss the 2019 football season.
Personal: Jake Raymond Johnson is the son of Kara and Billy Ray Johnson… Birthday is May 5… Has a younger brother, Luke… Father, Billy Ray, is the Chief of Staff for Tennessee football and head coach Josh Heupel… Graduated from Austin Peay in May 2024 with a bachelor’s in management… Pursuing a master’s in business administration.
