College: Enters fall as No. 1 on depth chart at middle linebacker...appeared in eight games at linebacker and on special teams in 2012…made 12 tackles on the season, including seven solos… assisted on two tackles against Virginia Tech… made two solo stops against Eastern Illinois… had one solo tackle against Eastern Kentucky… made a season-best five tackles (two solo) against Culver-Stockton, tallying one tackle for loss… made two solo tackles against Jacksonville State, including one for loss. ected to compete at middle linebacker…in 2011, injuries helped limit performance in season’s first half… was credited with eight of his nine tackles over season’s final three games… recorded season-best four tackles against Central State… also forced fumble in contest… week later against Murray State tallied three stops… .in 2010, proved valuable in first college season… played in 10 games at linebacker… made 15 tackles, including six solo stops… had four tackles in season opener against Cumberland… also had three tackles at Wisconsin.

High School: As senior for Paul Friel at Johnson High School, played tight end and linebacker...earned second-team all-region after recording 88 tackles, including 10 sacks...had 20 sacks and 35 career tackles for loss...also was team captain. 

Personal: Health and human performance major with concentration in applied exercise science… son of Jimmy and Brenda Owens…  born April 18, 1991…  age 22.
