Academics: Athletics Director’s Honor Roll (F13, F15)
2015: After getting a long look in the slot, remained in the tailback rotation to add needed depth… tallied 122 yards on 44 carries and added 218 on 15 kick returns… seven returns for 108 yards against Southern Miss… earned double digit carries twice: against Eastern Illinois (10 carries, 23 yards and two catches for four yards) and against Jacksonville State (11 carries, 24 yards)… season-high 26 yards on just three carries against Southeast Missouri.
2014: Speedy back may be on the move again… after moving to tailback from defensive back in Spring 2014, spent a lot of time lined up as a slot receiver in Spring 2015… Governors second-leading rusher last season, gaining 484 yards on 144 carries… gained more than 50 yards on five occasions, including the season-opener at Memphis… made seven starts, including a 20-carry, 45-yard game at Eastern Illinois, where he scored his season’s lone touchdown… had season-high 67 yards on 16 carries against Murray State.
2013: Finished spring game with 40 yards on six attempts after moving over from defensive back… appeared in eight games on defense in 2013… had a tackle against Murray State, UT Martin and Tennessee Tech.
High School: Played running back for Charlie White at Germantown High School… rushed 114 times for 1115 yards (9.8 ypr) as senior, including 13 TDs… also tallied three receiving TDs… selected second-team all-district… selected to play in Memphis Liberty Bowl High School All-Star game… also played soccer.
Personal: Computer science: internet and web technology, information systems major… son of Jason Roberson and Ericka Covington… his uncle, Michael Swift, played safety for the Govs in the mid-1990s and later played three NFL seasons… born Feb. 28
