Athletic Director's Honor Roll: S20
2019 (Redshirt Senior): Played in season’s first seven games before an injury ended his season, finishing with 21 receptions for 235 yards and a touchdown… Began campaign with three receptions, including one for a touchdown, against North Carolina Central (Aug. 29)… His nine-reception outing at Mercer, Sept. 14, was tied for the Govs best in 2019 and provided his only 100-yard receiving outing of the year (105 yards)… Had two catches in each of the next four contests before his season ended.
Prior to Austin Peay: Used the new redshirt rule in his senior season after playing only in the Ragin Cajuns’ first four games… collected 12 receptions for 166 yards and a score in his redshirt year… named second-team Preseason All-Sun Belt prior to his junior year… set career-highs in receptions (37) and yards (539) and finished tied for second on the team in receiving touchdowns (2) as a junior… emerged as an offensive threat as a sophomore, finishing second on the team in receptions (31) and yards (418) and posted a career-best six touchdowns… found the end zone in three straight games in his second season… played primarily on special teams in nine appearances as a freshman.
High School: A three-star recruit by Scout.com and ESPN.com… rated as the No. 33 prospect in the state of Mississippi… caught 156 passes for 2,464 yards and 27 touchdowns in a three-year career at MCHS… recorded 55 receptions for 914 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Jaguars as a senior… had 76 catches for 1,227 yards and 12 TDs as a junior… earned all-state honors and was selected to play in the 2014 Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game… a member of the Clarion-Ledger Football All-Metro Team.
Personal: Born Jan. 7… son of Keith and Laurie Barnes… has one brother, Keith, Jr., and one sister, Kristin.
