Biography

2013 (Redshirt Junior): Missed season after knee injury suffered during the fall.

2012 (Redshirt Sophomore): Only appeared in five games, all starts at second base, before seeing season come to an end after suffering knee injury versus Jackson State ... hit second career home run in season opener versus Mercer (2/11) ... scored four runs and drove in two in 17 plate appearances. 

2011 (Redshirt-Freshman): Appeared in 42 games with 36 starts ... had first college home run versus Wright State (2/13) ... finished third on team in assists (68) ... had career highs in putouts (5) and assists (5) versus UT Martin (3/22).

2010 (Freshman): Sat out 2010 as medical redshirt, recovering from shoulder injury suffered during summer ball.

High School: Played shortstop for Norma Nelson at Ooltewah High School ... as a senior hit .456 with seven home runs while scoring 36 runs for team that finish 24-9 ... also had 13 stolen bases ... named to Tennessee Sports Writers Class AAA All-State First-Team ... named to Chattanooga Best of Preps as senior ... played in Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Classic as senior ... was a starter on state championship team that finished with 46-3-1 record as junior in 2008 where she hit .429 with eight home runs and 34 RBI ... named Chattanooga Best of Preps second team as junior ... 2008 team was also ranked nationally by USA Today.

Personal: Daughter of Wendell and Karen Whitmire ... two older brothers, Will and Ben ... birthday is July 11 ... lists Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard as athlete she most admires ...business marketing major.
