2024: Appeared in all 12 games and made two starts on the Governors’ defensive line… Had a tackle and quarterback hurry against Southern Illinois (Sept. 7)… Had his first tackle for loss in a two-tackle game against Central Arkansas (Sept. 14)… Assisted on a sack against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21)… Had two tackles and one for loss against Tarleton State (Oct. 26)… Recorded a quarterback hurry and pass breakup at North Alabama (Nov. 2)… Had two tackles, a sack, and a quarterback hurry against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 16)… Had a season-high four tackles against Chattanooga (Nov. 23)… Finished the season with 20 tackles, 10 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, four quarterback hurries, and one pass breakup.
2023: Played in all 12 games on the defensive line… Recorded a half tackle for loss – his first TFL as a Governor – in the season opener at Southern Illinois (Sept. 2)… Added two tackles and his first sack as a Gov at Lindenwood (Sept. 30)… Posted a career-high three tackles against Gardner-Webb (Oct. 14)… Tallied two tackles and a pass breakup at Southern Utah (Oct. 21)… Recorded two tackles and a sack at Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 4)… Added a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry against Utah Tech (Nov. 11)… Finished the season with 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, two quarterback hurries, and two pass breakups… Ranked fifth on the team in sacks.
2022: Played in the first three games of the season before suffering a season-ending injury against Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 10)… Made a special teams tackle on kickoff coverage against Presbyterian (Sept. 3).
Prior to Austin Peay: Recorded 29 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and forced a fumble in 2021 season at Mississippi Delta Community College… Entered 2021 season as a Preseason First Team All-MACCC North Division selection… Had 15 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and a sack in COVID-19 shortened 2020 season… Named to JCGridiron.com Weakside Ends Watch List during the 2020 season.
High School: Split time at nose guard and defensive end for Chris Cutcliffe at Oxford High School… As a senior, was rated a three-star defensive lineman by 247Sports.com.
Personal: Ken’Terious Marquis Owens is the son of Kendrick Owens and Chauncey Pegues… Birthday is June 23… Has three siblings: JarTerious Owens, Martone Pegues II, and Zyeer Pegues… Graduated from Austin Peay in December 2023 with a bachelor’s in social and behavioral science… Pursuing a second bachelor’s in health and human performance with a sport and wellness specialist concentration.
