Athletics Director's Honor Roll (S25)
Prior to Austin Peay: Spent the first three years of his collegiate career at Northern Colorado (2022-24). 2024: Appeared in eight games during his redshirt sophomore season... Opened the season with back-to-back four-tackle performances against Incarnate Word (Aug. 31) and at Colorado State (Sept. 7)… Tallied six tackles and a season-high two tackles for loss against Abilene Christian (Sept. 14)… Had a season-high seven tackles at Montana State (Oct. 5)… Recovered a fumble and recorded two quarterback hurries at Weber State (Oct. 12)... Totaled 29 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery on the season. 2023: Appeared in all 11 games for the Bears as a redshirt freshman... Had six tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack against Incarnate Word (Sept. 9)… Tallied five tackles, half a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup at Idaho State (Sept. 23)… Recorded a sack during a six-tackle performance against Sacramento State (Oct. 14)… Had six tackles and a career-best two sacks at Montana (Oct. 28)… Added two tackles and half a sack agaisnt Idaho (Nov. 4)... Had four tackles and 1.5 sacks against Portland State (Nov. 18)... Finished the season with 38 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, and two pass breakups. 2022: Appeared in one game during a redshirt season... Recorded two tackles, a sack, and two pass breakups at Sacramento State (Oct. 8).
High School: Played defensive end and tight end for head coach Chris Kelz at Aurora Central High School… Was a Colorado High School Activities Association and Max Preps All-State Honorable Mention after recording 78 tackles, 26.0 tackles for loss, 23.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery during his senior season... Also had 13 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns as a senior... Recorded 23 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries as a junior... Offensively, had six receptions for 171 yards and a touchdown during his junior campaign... Also played basketball and baseball for the Trojans.
Personal: Marcus Anthony Howard is the son of Mark Howard and Antonette Smith… Birthday is July 15... Has three siblings: Autumn, Amiya, and Marcel… A general studies major with an organizational administration concentration.
