Prior to Austin Peay: Played two seasons at Tennessee State (2020-21) following two seasons at Los Angeles Valley College (2018-19). 2021: Saw action in 10 games, finishing with 17 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss… Opened 2021 season with 4 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against Grambling in Canton, Ohio (Sept. 5)… Notched four tackles against Tennessee Tech (Oct. 16). 2020-21: Played in season’s first five games, finishing with 8 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks… Began season with 3 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss at Austin Peay (Feb. 28)… Posted 2 sacks against Eastern Illinois (March 14). 2019: At LA Valley College, posted a 32-tackle season that included 4.0 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss… Finished season with season-best nine tackles and 4.0 tackles for loss at Santa Ana (Nov. 16). 2018: Recorded 18 tackles and 7.0 tackles for loss during 2018 season at LA Valley College
High School: Played three seasons at Martin Luther King High School (2013-15) after beginning prep career at Imhotep Charter… Named to 2015 All-Public League Class 4A Independence Team.
Personal: Nathaniel Sutton Jr. is the son of Nathaniel Sutton Sr. and Angela Pembleton… Birthday is July 25… Has five siblings: Brandon, Asia, Jaden, Yahreek, and Natalia… His cousin, Will Park, played football at Arizona and is now a safety in the NFL for the New York Jets… Pursuing a master’s degree in social work.
