Austin Peay State University Athletics

Loren “Buddy” O’Dell is in his second season as the general manager for Austin Peay football, he also serves as the program's professional football liaison. 

O’Dell has previously worked with three professional football teams throughout his career in the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, and Salt Lake City Stallions of the Alliance of American Football.

After serving as an equipment intern and assisting the Ravens’ defensive line during training camp in 2017, O’Dell was an equipment assistant for the Packers from 2018 to 2020 and a front-office assistant for the Stallions in 2019.

O’Dell received his bachelor’s degree in sport coaching and education from Southern Miss in 2017, where he worked alongside Scotty Walden – who was the Golden Eagles’ wide receivers and tight ends coach at the time – as a student assistant and quality control coach for the offense. He also served as a student equipment manager for two years during his time in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
