Emily Cotten joins the Governors football staff as the program’s on-campus recruiting coordinator.

Cotten joins the program after a year as the director of football operations at Defiance College in 2020-21. Prior to her year at Defiance she spent two seasons at Oklahoma State while obtaining her master’s degree. In Stillwater, she served multiple roles, including football operations assistant and as an intern and student assistant in OSU’s athletics fundraising office.

The Fayetteville, Georgia native also has participated in the National Football League’s Women’s Careers in Football Forum and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Women’s Summit for Careers in Football. She is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Defiance. Cotten earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State in 2020.
