Austin Peay State University Athletics

Robbie Matos is in his second season as the director of football operations and chief of staff for Austin Peay football after serving as the assistant director of football operations and graduate assistant at Kent State for two seasons.

During his time in Kent, Ohio, Matos was responsible for in-season and offseason recruiting activities, coordinating team travel lists, and managing KSU’s bowl week itinerary for the 2021 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Wyoming and the Flashes’ 2019 victory against Utah State at the Tropical Smoothie Café Frisco Bowl.

Matos graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration and business administration from Kent State in 2020, before earning a master’s in sports administration in 2021.
