College: Enters fall No. 1 on depth chart at right guard...moved from defense to offense during Fall 2008 camp and immediately paid dividends...was thrown into action when starter Justin Cunningham injured a knee in the season opener at North Dakota State...literally owned starting position from that point on...provided quality depth to defensive line during career’s early years... gained extensive experience in 2006 but played on a limited basis in 2007...beefed up to 260 pounds prior to  sophomore campaign...in 2006, recorded two tackles against both Cumberland and UT Martin...moved from offense (fullback) in Spring 2006...redshirted in 2005...High School: Fullback and nose tackle for Jackie Bledsoe at Dickson County High School...also wrestled during high school, twice placing at the state tournament...Personal: Has begun master’s program after graduating with degree in criminal justice last spring...nine-time member of Athletics Director’s Honor Roll, including three semesters as member of President’s List (4.0 GPA)  and two as Dean’s List (3.5 GPA) member...two-time Academic All-America nominee...chosen ESPN The Magazine second-team Academic All-District last fall...son of Thomas and Joyce Brooks...has twin brother Michael...born Sept. 23, 1986...age 22...will turn 23 Friday beforeGovs play Eastern Kentucky.
