Prior to Austin Peay: Played wide receiver and defensive back for head coach Tobias Smith at Heritage Academy... Totaled over 5,000 all-purpose yards and 3,000 receiving yards in his prep career, along with 80 tackles... Named an All-Midsouth Association of Independent Schools selection as a senior... Also a first team all-district selection as a junior and senior, and a first team all-conference selection his senior year... Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports... Also played basketball and competed in track and field for the Patriots... A First Team Class 5A All-MAIS selection in basketball during his junior season, while helping the Patriots win the state title... Finished second in the 200 meters and third in the 100 meters in the MAIS.
