Considered to be the founder of modern women’s athletics at Austin Peay... In 1970 when there were no funds available for women’s sports at Austin Peay, she raised money for uniforms and started the basketball program. She also coached volleyball and tennis, and was cheerleader sponsor in addition to her teaching duties... Her combined records during her five years at APSU were 65-25 in volleyball, 33-4 in tennis and 106-86 in basketball... After leaving Austin Peay she assumed the head basketball coaching duties at the University of Mississippi, where her team was 12th in the nation one year and she is presently women’s athletic director at The University of Miami.
