2012: Struggled
early but found his footing as the season went on and supplemented the efforts
of Konnor Kessler and Tyler Kepley... placed in the top 30 on two occasions, the
first coming at the Powerade Invite with a 22nd-place showing (18:27.67)...
placed 33rd at the JSU Foothills with a 16:28.16 mark... repeated his 22nd-place
performance in October's Chattanooga race, finishing the Front Runner
Invitational with a 16:28.16 mark... joined Kepley and Kessler in the top-50 at
the OVC Championships, finishing 46th with a 26:38.69 mark.
2011 Season: Ran in all seven events... a lead pack runner for the Governors earned an individual victory at the Kentucky State Thorobred Stampede, finishing with a 29:41.46 mark... followed his victory with a third-place finish at the Fast Cats Classic, finishing with a 26:27.30 mark... in all seven races was the first or second Governor to cross the finish line...finished 32nd (27:19.07) at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships.
2010 Season: A very steady runner for the Govs with three top-20 finishes...earned a 20th place finish at the Powerade Invitational in the 5k with a 16:26 mark...barely missed OVC honors at the OVC Championship recording a 26:27.82 8k mark, receiving a 16th-place finish...posted an 11th-place finish at the 8k Fast Cats Invitational after posting a 26:13.44 mark...recorded a season-best 8k mark at the Memphis Twilight after posting a 25:51.65 and earning a 59th-place finish...earned a 25th-place finish at the 8k Old Timers Classic, after posting a 27:33.41 mark.
Previously: A transfer from Arkansas-Pine bluff... part of 2009 SWAC conference championship team... personal-best time of 8.52 in the 3000m... a finalist in the Kapsunde National for the 3k while at Chebisaas Boys High School... personal best marks of 30:32 for the 10k and 24:41 in the 8k.
Personal: Son of Joseph Barno Koilegei and Angelina Chepkurui Soy... born on Dec. 12, 1987... plans to major in nursing.
