Austin Peay State University Athletics

A former standout golfer at Cumberland, Dustin Thomas will join Austin Peay’s coaching staff as an assistant for the 2018-19 season.

Thomas was three-time TranSouth All-Conference competitor at Cumberland, winning individual medalist honors at the 2011 TranSouth Conference Championships. While with the Phoenix, Thomas was part of the 2009 TranSouth Tournament championship squad which finished 16^th at the NAIA National Championships—Thomas set the amateur course record at TPC Deere Run during the National Championship with a third-round 67.

Thomas was named GCAA and PING Golf All-South Region in 2010. After his collegiate career ended, he played on the Florida Professional Golf Tour and competed on the former NGA (now SwingThought) Tour throughout the southeast.

A 2012 graduate from Cumberland with a degree in sport management, Thomas also coached at Cumberland in 2013.
