2008-09: As a sophomore, Neilson made two appearances...his first at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, where he fired a career best final-round 73 to finish 43rd...at the Grub Mart-Young Oil Intercollegiate he finished 80th with a 173 (89-84) total...he posted a 79.2 scoring average.

2007-08: As a freshman, Neilson competed in two tournaments for the Govs...his best round and best three-round total came at the Xavier Invitational...he fired an opening-round 70 and a three-round 230, but it was only good enough for 91st.

High School: Considered one of the top junior golfers in Scotland... advanced to the semifinals out of the country’s 256 best juniors, during the Scottish Boys Match Play... finished 17th in the Scottish boys stroke play, firing rounds of 74-71-73-71=289... advanced to the second round of the British Boy’s Match Play... in all tournaments in the United Kingdom, Nelison averaged a 72.0 in 20 rounds of tournament play.
