As a junior in 2025-26: One of two Governors to be in the lineup and play in all 10 tournaments during his first season at Austin Peay… recorded a 74.50 scoring average, while ranking second on the team with three rounds in the 60s, 10 rounds at even or under par, and a counting score in 26-of-30 rounds played… shot 222 (73-78-71) and finished tied for 60th in his Austin Peay debut at the Golfweek Fall Challenge… tied for the second-best individual finish by a Gov when he shot 212 (72-69-71) and finished tied for 26th at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic… carded a 225 (76-76-73) and finished tied for 68th at the Saint Mary’s Invitational… again was the Govs’ second-best individual finisher when he shot 217 (72-73-72) and finished tied for 31st at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational… led the Govs for the first time when he shot 222 (68-78-76) and finished tied for 22nd at the Seminole Intercollegiate… carded a career-low round of four-under 68 in the opening round of the Seminole Intercollegiate… finished tied for 44th with a score of 225 (73-83-69) at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate… closed the season with a 48th place finish and a score of 228 (77-72-79) at the ASUN Men’s Golf Championship.
Prior to Austin Peay: Played two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (2023-25), where he helped the Bulldogs win two NJCAA Division II Men’s Golf National Championships… posted a 73.4 scoring average in 21 rounds played, with one top-three finish during his freshman season… was ranked 14th nationally and eighth in his region during the 2023-24 NJCAA DII season… recorded a 71.7 scoring average in 33 rounds played, with seven top-three finishes and three individual wins during his sophomore season… had a 681-77-13 (.892) record against the field as a sophomore… picked up three-consecutive victories, winning the MGCCC Fall Invitational, the Titan Winter Invitational, and the Bulldog Spring Invitational… finished tied for 11th at the NJCAA DII Men’s Golf National Championship with a score of 298 to help MGCCC win its second-consecutive national title… was ranked third nationally and second in his region during the 2024-25 NJCAA DII season… prepped at Mike Bender Golf Academy and was the 2022 Mississippi Junior State Amateur Champion… also was a member of the Mississippi River Cup Team three times and competed on the AJGA Mississippi Cup Team.
Personal: John Mark Mills is the son of Chad Mills and Shauna Stegall… has one sibling, Jolan… brother, Jolan, played soccer at Itawamba Community College… born March 14.
