Athletic Director's Honor Roll (S24, S25)

As a sophomore in 2024-25: Played in six tournaments for the Govs, with two appearances as an individual… posted a 76.94 scoring average, three rounds at even or under par, and a counting score in seven of 12 rounds while in the lineup… played as an individual in the season-opening Golfweek Fall Challenge, where he shot 234 (81-71-82) and finished 73rd… made his debut in the lineup for APSU at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate, where he shot 223 (76-76-71) and finished tied for 56th… shot 225 (74-76-75) and finished tied for 48th at Murray State’s The Buddy… finished tied for 32nd with a score of 222 (74-70-78) at the Xavier Invitational… dropped his match in the Battle of the Border Match Play, which the Govs won 6-4 over the Murray State… played in all three matches for the Governors at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate Match Play.

As a freshman in 2023-24: Played in four tournaments for the Governors… posted a 76.27 scoring average… made his collegiate debut as an individual at UT Martin’s Grover Page Classic, where he shot 234 (75-80-79) and finished 86th… beat Murray State’s Lenon Albans, 1Up, in match play to help the Govs secure a 7-1 win in the Battle of the Border… finished tied for 63rd with a score of 225 (74-76-75) while playing as an individual at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate…  carded a 226 (76-76-74) and finished tied for 51st at Tennessee State’s Big Blue Intercollegiate.

Prior to Austin Peay: Prepped at Trinity High School, where he was an All-Region 6 selection in three-straight seasons and earned Region 6 Golfer of the Year honors in 2020… helped the Shamrocks capture their first state title since 2003 when they won the 2020 Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Golf Championship… set the course record at Nevel Meade Golf Course after shooting an 11-under 61 during his high school career… also played basketball for the Shamrocks.

Personal: Michael David Long is the son of Jeffrey and Jennifer Long…has one sibling, Carson… his father, Jeffrey, played basketball at Milligan University… born March 15… has yet to decide on a major.
