2024: Appeared in 12 games and was the starter for the final 11 games at quarterback in his first season as a Governor… Completed 24-of-37 passes for 292 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his first start against Southern Illinois (Sept. 7)  –  the most passing yards by a quarterback in their starting debut since JaVaughn Craig in 2016 and the most completions in a starting debut since Adam Pineo in 1997... His two-touchdown game against the Salukis also was his first of four games with multiple touchdown passes… Went 10-for-13 through the air with 114 yards and a touchdown in his first victory as the Governors’ signal caller during a 59-16 win against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21)... Had 124 yards and a touchdown through the air, while adding 53 yards and his first touchdown on the ground against Southern Utah (Sept. 28)… Had a season-high 83 rushing yards at Utah Tech (Oct. 19), while adding 93 passing yards in a 13-7 win against the Trailblazers… Had his first of three-straight 200-passing yard performances against Tarleton State (Oct. 26) with 258 yards on 21 completions… Opened the game at North Alabama (Nov. 2) with 19-consecutive completions en route to a program-record 88.9 completion percentage (31-of-35) during a 406-yard, four-touchdown performance against the Lions... His 406 passing yards against UNA are the fourth-best single game in program history and just the fourth 400-yard passing game in program history, while his 31 completions are tied for the sixth-most in program history… Followed his performance against the Lions with a 308-yard, three-touchdown day against Abilene Christian (Nov. 9), with a pair of scores through the air and his third rushing score of the season... Also tossed a season-long 73-yard touchdown to Jaden Barnes against ACU… Threw for 239 yards on 23-for-35 through the air against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 16)… Had 192 passing yards and a touchdown while adding 31 rushing yards and a touchdown in the season finale against Chattanooga (Nov. 23)…  Finished the season with 213 completions for 2,354 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 121 yards and four touchdowns... Posted the second-best single-season completion percentage (.628) in program history, also ranked fourth in completions, seventh in passing attempts (339), seventh in passing yards, ninth in passing touchdowns, and ninth in passing yards per game (196.2) in a season... His four rushing touchdowns are tied for the 12th-most by a quarterback in a single season in APSU history.

Prior to Austin Peay: Played three seasons at Eastern Michigan (2021-23), appearing in 22 games and making 16 starts at quarterback. 2023: Played in 12 games and made 10 starts at quarterback for the Eagles… Completed 19-of-28 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against Howard (Sept. 1)… Went 13-of-26 for 157 yards and a touchdown while adding four carries for 45 yards on the ground against Massachusetts (Sept. 16)… Matched his career high with 20 completions for 186 yards and a touchdown while also rushing 19 times for a career-high 71 yards and a touchdown at Central Michigan (Sept. 30)… Was 18-of-28 for 192 yards and two touchdowns against Ball State (Oct. 7)… Recorded 15 completions for a career-high 231 passing yards and a touchdown against Western Michigan (Oct. 28)… Matched his career high with 20 completions for 214 yards and a touchdown against Akron (Nov. 14)… Went 19-of-27 for 141 yards and a touchdown while rushing six times for 29 yards and a touchdown in the regular-season finale at Buffalo (Nov. 21)… Finished his final season in Ypsilanti, Michigan completing 171-of-298 passes for 1,775 yards and nine touchdowns… Also carried the ball 101 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns. 2022: Played in nine games and made six starts at quarterback for the Eagles… Completed four passes for 60 yards and his first collegiate passing touchdown at Arizona State (Sept. 17)… Fired 12 completions for 190 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown, while adding 12 carries for 74 yards and a rushing touchdown against Buffalo (Sept. 24)… Went 13-of-24 for 122 yards and two touchdowns against Massachusetts (Oct. 1)… Completed a career-best 20 passes for 197 yards at Ball State (Oct. 22), also carried the ball 19 times for 52 yards and a touchdown against the Cardinals… Was 16-of-28 for 190 yards and a touchdown at Akron (Nov. 8)… Went 68-of-118 for 774 yards and six passing touchdowns during his sophomore season… Also had 61 carries for 255 yards and two touchdowns. 2021: Made one appearance against Texas State (Sept. 25), completing his lone pass attempt for 16 yards in his collegiate debut.

High School: Played quarterback for head coach Miguel Patrick at Cedar Grove High School… Completed 65 passes for 985 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns in just five games during his senior season… Helped lead the Saints to the GHSA Class 3-A State Championship in 2018 and 2019, including a 13-2 overall record during the 2019 campaign… Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com and ESPN and a two-star by Rivals… Also ran track for the Saints.

Personal: Austin Perry Smith is the son of Charles and Ricci Smith… Birthday is Jan. 29… Has two siblings, Justin and Jeremy… Graduated from Austin Peay in Dec. 2024 with a bachelor’s in general studies... Pursuing a master’s in computer science with a concentration in cybersecurity.
